Business Foundations 100 (Certificate)
Business Foundations 100 is a 24 week course comprised of 12 weeks of in-class instruction followed by 12 weeks of co-op education in a Canadian work environment. This program focuses on cutting-edge firsts, up-to-date issues that shape today’s business world, and creative pedagogy that helps students to build a solid foundation of business knowledge. The Business Foundation 100 program will utilize daily in-class lectures accompanied by PowerPoint (PPT) presentations, in-class case studies, professional business presentations, quizzes and final module exams.
SELC Career College offers two different Business Foundations programs. Below are the full descriptions of the Business Foundations courses.

Classroom Learning Outcomes:
Upon completion, students will gain knowledge of the FIVE key areas of business:
- Introducing the Contemporary Business World
- The Business of Managing
- Managing Operations and Information
- Managing Marketing
- Managing Financial Issues
*Students are required to bring a binder and a calculator as there is an accounting component.
Business Foundations 100 Co-op
After 12 weeks of full time courses, students will proceed to fulfill their co-op placement component (12 weeks) of the program. Completion of the 12 week co-op component, students must provide a written report on their co-op experience to successfully complete the program.
Upon successfully completing the program, students will receive:
- Business Foundations 100 Certificate
